  • Brown and white eggs have the same nutritional value.
  • Most eggs reach the supermarket a few days after being laid.
  • Eggs should be refrigerated in their carton at 40 degrees F on an inside refrigerator shelf to maintain food safety. Eggs should be discarded if they have been exposed to temperatures above 40 degrees F for more than 2 hours. Cook eggs to a proper internal temperature of 160 degrees F.
